Who I am

I began practicing as an Occupational Therapist in 2018, specializing in child neurodevelopment using non-traditional OT interventions such as hippotherapy, equine assisted occupational therapy, outdoor activities, and brain based solutions.

A dear friend and mentor of mine introduced me to brain based interventions to find the root cause of why we present the way we do. Curiosity led me to use Dr. Stephen Porges' Polyvagal Theory, and Dr. Minson's Integrated Listening System as a foundation for my practice.

I have worked to support children, family, and friends to discover their nervous system and improve their health and wellness!

About My OT Approach

The nervous system and movement has always been a focus and fascination for me! A dear friend and mentor of mine introduced me to the importance nervous system regulation through the Polyvagal Theory. As part of my learning and exploration, I became a certified provider in the Safe and Sound Protocol, a unique listening program designed to nurture and re-tune the autonomic nervous system through the vagus nerve.

Having grown up in the outdoors, and in a barn surrounded by animals, I valued the importance of movement, life fulfilling daily activities, and co-regulation through humans and animals. Later as an OT did I understand the importance movement and foundational regulation has on the brain for development of neuro-pathways, building life skills, resiliency, learning, and connecting with others.

My life experiences and fascination for the body to grow and heal come rooted in my practice. My  OT approach consists of brain based interventions for nervous system regulation. I am available for remote neuro-regulation services, in addition to in-person and remote OT services in Idaho and Washington State.
